OK, looks like GMD 2 is going to be my debut movie! ^_^ Now, for another question: Does the full title of my "Clockwork Orange" sequel sound too gimmicky for the film version? (Please explain in a comment!)

Also, my folks & I went to see "Rogue One" yesterday, & it was awesome! :D Go see it, everyone!

EDIT: If you can't already tell from what I'm "listening to", I have just become enamored with the 1988 cult classic "Akira"! I've been watching all kinds of Youtube videos about the movie, & I can't wait to get my hands on the DVD & Bluray! :D And an "Akira" jacket...& even maybe Kaneda's kick-butt motorbike! :plotting:

ANOTHER EDIT: I'm currently spending a couple of weeks at my grandma's house in Houston, & one of the many things we've been doing, is looking into buying me my very own car! ^_^ It's a refurbished & restored 1974 Volkswagen Beetle with automatic transmission, a brand-new motor, & paint in the color of Texas A&M orange...which I plan to replace with purple! :excited: If I end up getting this car, it'll be so awesome! :D

Also, Tim Curry's going to show up at Dallas ComicCon at the end of February, & with luck, I'll hopefully be able to see him there! :D Are any of you guys gonna be there, too? ^_^

KING HAGGARD'S SONG
A Musical Number For A Broadway Adaptation Of "The Last Unicorn"

(Spoken intro)
KING HAGGARD (to Lady Amalthea): My secrets guard themselves.  May yours do the same. (departs to his private quarters)

In this palace, dim & dreary,
Here I ponder, weak & weary,
Mournfully musing in the gloom
That fills my castle's every room,
Vainly waiting for the sun to shine
O'er this land, surrounded by the brine...

Every day has naught but sadness,
And how my heart yearns for gladness!
'Las, there's little one can do
To give me happiness anew,
Except to take me to that forest glade,
Away from winter's chill & sorrow's shade...

Whisk me 'way to gleeful glens of green,
Livened by the kiss of eternal spring!
Let the dewdrops dance upon the grass!
Flow, crystal waters, pure & clear as glass!
Sweet flowers, bloom & blossom in the light,
Bedecked in all the rainbow's colors--
What a beautiful, blissful sight!

In flourishing, tall trees, the birds all sing
Lovely songs that make a man's ears ring!
The animals all frolic, dance, & play,
Leisurely whiling their carefree hours away!
And, best of all, the unicorns run free,
Full of giddy gaiety & glee!
Oh, precious steeds of alabaster...won't you come to me?

Alas, I do not dare to roam
Far away from my old home,
For there's a kingdom that needs keeping...
I'll just content myself to weeping
While I look upon the roaring sea,
The only thing that still brings joy to me...

What good would it even do me, pray,
If I went to the forest anyway?
The unicorns are all but extinct there,
And, now, they'd just be castles in the air,
Were it not for the secret that I keep,
The secret hiding in the azure deep...

Yes, deep beneath the waters, they remain!
The unicorns all thrive, come shine or rain!
They all belong to me, & only me,
And whenever they appear, I love to see
Their glistening manes & skin of ivory white,
As their great horns all shimmer in the light,
Vanquishing the darkness of the night!

As long as my prized pets are here with me,
From my old heart, youth's joy will never flee!
Relationships do wither, memories fade,
And the people who we cherish pass away,
But as long as I may look upon the sea,
I see a glimpse of sweet eternity,
And all the peace & pleasantness it brings...
TLU: King Haggard's Song
I know a lot of you have been waiting for me to upload new art & written works, & I have not forgotten about that. :) It's just that I have LOTS & LOTS & LOTS of stuff I've drawn & written over the last 6 years--even earlier than that, in fact!--& it's gonna take me quite a while to upload every picture & piece of literature.  Just be patient, folks, & my gallery will be chock-full of new stuff before you know it! ;)

In the meantime, here's a little something to hold you over! :aww:

Last night, while watching various clips related to "The Last Unicorn" on Youtube, I was struck with the idea to make a Broadway adaptation of the animated classic.  Why no one has thought of such a brilliant concept before, is beyond me... But, regardless, I cemented the birth of this brainstorm by writing the very first song for the musical--a special number performed by the tragic villain, King Haggard! ^_^

So, what do you think of the song (& idea for the musical) so far? :) Do tell me your thoughts! :D

When you're finished reading, please be sure to leave feedback when you're done. I'll take anything from comments to constructive criticism, as long as they're not flames or delivered in an overly-harsh, stern, or mercilessly-nitpicky manner.

Father Jacob stood in the middle of a dead field, under a foreboding, cloudy gray sky.  He saw a beam of fiery red light erupt from the ground, shooting all the way up into the heavens.  Then, a writhing, pulsating, grotesque mass of monstrous black energy appeared, & slowly spread across the ground, enveloping the following figures: a young blonde-haired girl & fair-haired boy, the boy's parents & friends, an old street bum, an elderly writer & his wife, an old woman & her horde of cats, & several other innocent people...before finally claiming the friends & family members of Angela DeLarge.  Angela was the only one left standing now, & she turned to face Father Jacob with fear in her blue eyes.  "Father Jacob," the troubled teenager cried, "you've got to get away from here!"

"No, Angela!" Father Jacob declared in fierce determination, tightly embracing the girl who he had come to consider a close comrade in the last several months. "I won't leave you!"

The dark cloud came up to Angela & Father Jacob, before taking hold of the former, & tearing her away from the latter.  As Angela was gradually being swallowed up by the darkness that consumed her, she reached out to her older friend & mentor, desperately hoping that he could somehow save her.  "Father Jacob," Angela pleaded, "please...help...me!  I can't...get...free..." Unfortunately, Father Jacob's attempts to rescue Angela proved to be in vain, & the poor lass was mercilessly sucked into the black monster's absorbent "body".  Finally, the dark cloud began to envelop Father Jacob...& he awoke with a scream.  The asylum chaplain immediately found himself safe in his personal quarters, still seated in the rocking chair he had fallen asleep in.  Angela DeLarge was also safe & sound, cradled snugly in Father Jacob's warm, loving arms.  Everything was just as it should be...but Father Jacob would do everything in his power to keep Angela & her loved ones free from the darkness that had ruined the lives of so many others before them (including Angela's own grandfather, Alex).

Also...I'm now eager to do fanart depicting Anakin Skywalker & Obi-Wan Kenobi as Tetsuo & Kaneda from "Akira". :D I wonder how that will turn out... :plotting:
Story Sketch: 'The Dark Cloud' (ACO)
Normally, I would put my formulaic author's description here, but I decided to be brief in this particular instance, so I could get straight to the point.  Uncharacteristic of me, I know...but, nonetheless, let's continue on...

This is the first of what I imagine will be several "story sketches", or basic outlines of ideas for new or revised fanfiction & original stories. :D I just got this story idea on the spur of the moment this very morning, after being inspired by watching clips, reviews, & various other Youtube videos related to the 1988 anime cult classic "Akira"--especially the early part of the finale. (You can watch said part online here:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1URmU… .  But be forewarned...it is very gruesome & graphic, & viewer discretion is definitely advised!  Heck, I could barely get through watching it myself! ^^; In future viewings, that's the one part of the movie where I'll have to keep my eyes focused elsewhere, LOL! :giggle: )

Of course, as previously established, this is just a basic "rough draft" of the story's concept, so prepare to see it as a full-fledged fanfiction soon! :D

Whenever night approaches,
And you're feeling all alone
Don't be afraid, my little lamb,
For I shall lead you home

Though sadness sometimes plagues you,
There is no need to cry,
For I'll dry your tears, & then you'll see
A rainbow in your sky

Don't let the rain clouds loom above
Your pretty little world
For not a single drop should hurt
This darling little girl

I promise you, my dear one,
That you will not be harmed
As long as you are cradled
Within my loving arms

ACO: Grandpa Alex's Lullaby

The above deviation is a song that I wrote for my sequel to "A Clockwork Orange".  As the title suggests, it is a lullaby that an older Alex DeLarge sings to his beloved granddaughter Angela.  Later, while undergoing treatment at a mental institution, Angela teaches the lullaby to her friend, Father Jacob.

So, what do you guys think of the song? ;) Do tell me your thoughts! :D

PROUD OF YOUR BOY
A "Star Wars" Songfic By The Mouse Avenger

ANAKIN:
Proud of your boy...
I'll make you proud of your boy...
Believe me, bad as it's been, Ma,
You're in for a pleasant surprise!

I've always dreamed
Of being free,
But who would ever have thought
My life could have changed so suddenly?

Life for us hasn't been filled
With too much pleasure or joy,
But we'll get off of this planet,
And both live in much better times!

You'll see, Mom, now comes the better part!
I'm gonna set off, make a brand-new start,
Make good, & finally make you
Proud of your boy!

Adventure awaits on the journey ahead,
But danger will be lurking, too!
Don't worry, though--Qui-Gon & Obi-Wan
Will make sure we safely get through!

Even though it'll be hard
For me to let you go,
I can rest easy as long as you, Mother,
Will always know that...

Someday, & soon,
I'll make you proud of your boy!
I'll go to Coruscant, & be trained
In the ways of the Jedi!

And when my learning is complete,
I'll come back, & free you from slavery...
Mom, I will try to, try hard to make you
Proud of your boy!

A few months ago, I was fooling around with the Queen Of The Deck Card Maker on the AzaleasDolls website, & I ended up making a card with the likeness of one of my GMD fanfic characters, Victoria Holmesington! :D

So, what do you think of the picture? :) Do tell me your thoughts! :D

Thanks for the watch and I really liked your story, Lost and Found, it's emotional, yet touching, but might I ask, "Are you going to upload the last two chapters on Fanfiction?" I know, it's been about a decade since chapter one on that site had been posted. I'd love it if the final chapters were also on Fanfiction next to the first chapter.
