OK, folks, sorry for the long absence off of DA! My computer crashed on January 6, & I had to take it to Best Buy to get everything transferred from the hard drive onto a brand-new laptop...which I’m now in the process of customizing & preparing for return to my creative work! So fear not, my friends—The Mouse Avenger (& her computer) will be back in business by February’s start!

Now, how did my holiday season go, you’re wondering? Well, it went wonderfully well! As soon as I finish getting my computer & virtual work station set up, I’ll tell you all the delightful details! ^_^

UPDATE: I have my brand-new laptop, & nearly all of the files from the old computer’s hard drive were successfully transferred onto the new computer...BUT I’ll need $250 for the Geek Squad to recover a portion of the hard drive that got corrupted in the earlier crash.

Thus, to cover the cost of that last procedure—along with two $200+ scripts I bought on Ebay—I’m currently taking commissions (& I also take free requests, too)! Here’s a journal with more info on pricing & whatnot:

Sketches:
$5 for a sketch of one person or character...
...but a charge of $5 will be added for each additional person or character you want drawn
$10 will also be included if you want a background with the picture
Inked Sketches:
$5 for each person / character, & an additional $10 for the background, if you want any
There is also an extra fee of $5 if you want the sketch to be inked
Inked & Colored Pictures:
$5 for each person / character, & $10 for the background (if you want any)

I'm in the middle of a muddle, my friends, for my good friend Kiara Phoenix ( ) had long-time plans to work on 3 different comics, all of which are based on GMD-based fanworks.  Alas, she has now become too bogged down with work of her own, & unfortunately had to cancel these comic plans, graciously leaving it up to me to complete all 3 comics for her.

Alas, I can't do it alone, so I call upon you to help me out!  To wit: Would any of you like to help me work on the comics, or recommend artists who might be able to help me? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated! ^_^

Wednesday, July 22, 1897
Madame Elizabella Ratburn woke up with a startled gasp, bolting upright in the cot that she had been sleeping in.  The elderly mouse-rat hybrid [1] cast quick glances to the left & right of her, breathing heavily at a rapid rate; her pulse & heartbeat accelerated with the adrenaline that surged through her veins, bringing her out of the state of sleepiness that had once occupied her senses.  Then, when Madame Ratburn finally took notice of her surroundings, her breathing became much slower & steadier, & her body began to gradually relax with each second that passed.  After Madame Ratburn had fully managed to calm her nerves, she took another look around the humbly-decorated interior

A comic book version of & Ratigan's commentary on the former's stories (Anyone remember those?)

(This will be saved for last, as I have the original stories & commentaries on another computer of mine, which is currently waiting to be completely backed up in the safe hands of a professional--it's very old!)

Some basic info about the comics:
The "scripts" are basically the original fanfiction stories on which the comics are based, & all dialogue & action contained therein.
 The number of pages will vary depending upon the length of each chapter in the story.
 As for how many panels, I think a general amount of 6-8 per page will do nicely, though more or less may be used when deemed necessary. 
All of the comics will be in full color, & drawn in the style of the original GMD film.
All 3 comics will be in serial form, with an issue dedicated to each chapter of every story.
Each comic will be done one at a time.

I'll be happy to help as well, mainly in the following ways:
Provide illustrations, concept art, documents, & other things for reference
Do all of the coloring & effects after the inking of each page is done
Do anything else you might require my assistance or advice for

In case you were wondering, I had a very splendid 30th birthday! My little sister Ariana, her husband Forrest, her stepdaughter Haylie, & her baby son Houston (who I nickname "Powers") came to Sugar Land to meet me, our parents, & my grandma, & we all had lunch together at a nice restaurant called Ruggles Green! Naturally, I had a lot of fun visiting with my sister & her family, especially Baby Powers...

That evening, Mom, Dad, & I took the bridge from Houston to Galveston to have my special birthday dinner at the Rainforest Cafe! ^_^ I ate popcorn shrimp & French fries for the main course, & had a Volcano for dessert! For presents, I got a $50 check from my grandpa & stepgrandma, & a copy of the very awesome book "Disney Who's Who" from my mommy & daddy! Oh, & I also got limited-edition, neon-colored Rainforest Cafe collectible figurines & a rainbow Build-A-Bear lion from the gift shop! ^_^

All in all, it was a very lovely birthday for me!

Mine is! ^_^ And I'll be 30 years old this year!

Oh, BTW, I haven't forgotten the Comicpalooza report--I'll have it up as soon as I can. Along with the reports for Dallas FanExpo, ComicCon 2008, & ComicCon 2015.

Also, if I could make a request of all you wonderful people on DA: I'm so desperately starved for comments, critique, & other feedback, so please leave them on any of my deviations that you see! That would be very much appreciated!
