(Scene: Julienne has been sick with pneumonia, & she is getting closer to death, despite Tom's efforts to keep her alive.  Now, the film reaches its saddest point...)
TOM: Julienne, please...You've got to hang on.  You can make it through this sickness, darling!  I know you can...You just need a little more time...
JULIENNE (as if foreseeing what is to become of her): I don't think I'm going to last much longer.
TOM: Oh, don't talk like that, sweetheart! (kisses her forehead) Now, please, try to keep your eyes open.  Your future is bright, & you have so much to look forward to...
JULIENNE (gently, but with firm resolve): I'm tired of fighting this, Tom.  I need to rest.
TOM: But, Julienne...
JULIENNE (encouragingly): Tom, don't worry.  Everything's going to be all right.
TOM (on the verge of tears, pleading with his young friend): Julienne, please don't close your eyes!  Stay awake for me, baby!  Don't go to sleep...
JULIENNE: It'll be OK, Tom.  I promise. (kisses Tom on the cheek, then settles back into bed one last time) I'll see you when I wake up...
(Finally, Julienne shuts her eyes, takes one last breath, & passes away.  As soon as he feels Julienne's hand going limp, a heartbroken Tom desperately scoops Julienne up into his arms, & embraces her tightly, pressing her against his chest in the vain hopes that the beat of his heart can start hers again.  All the while, Tom sobs & weeps hysterically in lamentation for the tragic loss of his friend to the afterlife.  Then, Julienne appears in the room again, now in the form of a lovely little angel.  She goes up to Tom, & gently places her tiny hand on his shoulder, patting it in a comforting manner.)
JULIENNE (sweetly, as she pats Tom's shoulder): Don't cry, Tom.  It'll be OK.
(Tom soon stops crying, & turns around to see Julienne standing before him.  Needless to say, the older man is delighted to see his companion again.)
TOM (overjoyed): Julienne! (he goes over to give Julienne a great big hug, & plenty of kisses) Oh, sweetheart!  I'm so glad to see you again!
JULIENNE: Me, too, Tom. (kisses Tom on the cheek) Do you like my new look?
TOM: Oh, darling, it's fantastic!  You're every bit the angel I dreamed you would be...
JULIENNE: Thank you, Tom. (gives Tom another hug & kiss)
TOM (now breaking down into tears again): Oh, precious Julienne, I'm sorry! (smooches her) I'm so sorry...
JULIENNE: What for?
TOM (tenderly holding & caressing Julienne): I shouldn't have picked those flowers with the frost on them.  If I hadn't, the chill in the air wouldn't have made your illness worse...& you would still be alive...
JULIENNE: It's not your fault, Tom.  It's nobody's fault.  God just thought it was time for me to go.
TOM (groaning in utter anguish): But it's not fair, Julienne!  It's just not fair!  You had a whole life ahead of you, & a wonderful future on the horizon...
JULIENNE (emphatically): I still do, Tom.  I still do!
TOM: But I wanted to share that future with you!  I wanted to watch you grow up, get married, raise a family, & follow all of your dreams...
JULIENNE: I know; I wish you could be there to see all that, too. (Tom starts to cry again, but Julienne is quick to comfort him once more) Tom, will you make me a promise?
TOM: (dries his tears, & does his best to put on a smile for Julienne) Of course, sweetheart.
JULIENNE: OK. (beat) Tom, I want you to promise me that you won't stop living your life.  You'll fall deeper in love with Miss Rebecca, you'll get married to her, & you'll have lots of kids together.  And you & Miss Rebecca will grow old together, & have grandchildren...&, finally, you'll get to come up to Heaven, & be with me, my parents, & Miss Sarah forever & ever!  You promise me you'll do all these things, won't you, Tom?
TOM (nodding his head in sincere affirmation): Yes...I promise.
JULIENNE (pleased to hear this): Good.  I'm glad. (kisses Tom on the cheek) In the meantime, even if you can't see me, I'll still be with you, & we'll always be together forever...
TOM (echoing Julienne's words, as tears of joy flow down his face) Together forever...(gives Julienne one more hug & kiss)
(Shortly afterward, Julienne's parents come into view, & beckon for their daughter to follow them back into Heaven.)
JULIENNE'S MOTHER: Julienne, darling, it's time to go!
JULIENNE'S FATHER: Come on, angel!
JULIENNE (to her parents): OK, Mommy & Daddy. (to Tom) Well, I have to go for now.  I'll see you later, Tom.
(Julienne begins walking away, but Tom desperately clings to the hem of her nightdress, kneeling down in front of her as he looks up at her with a pained gaze of sorrow.)
TOM: Oh, Julienne, please don't go!  I can't bear to live without you by my side!
JULIENNE: But, Tom...
TOM (in a broken voice): Losing you was painful enough!  I just can't bring myself to say "goodbye" to you...
JULIENNE (reassuringly): It's not "goodbye", Tom.  It's just "so long"...until we meet again.
TOM (now feeling much better): All right, then.  I look forward to that wonderful day.
JULIENNE: Me, too, Tom.  Me, too. (kisses Tom one more time, then goes over to join her parents, never breaking her gaze away from Tom) I love you, Tom.
TOM: I love you, too, Julienne.
JULIENNE: And we'll see each other again...someday.  Always remember that...& remember your promise, too! (playfully) Or I'll have to come down, & give you a scolding!
TOM (bursting into a big smile): I will, darling, I will. (he laughs, & Julienne giggles, too)
JULIENNE (sweetly): So long, Tom.  Until we meet again.
(Julienne & her parents finally leave the mortal realm, leaving Tom alone in the bedroom.)
TOM (now filled with hope & consolation): So long...my friend.
Full-view, please!

I know a lot of you have been waiting for me to upload new art & written works, & I have not forgotten about that. :) It's just that I have LOTS & LOTS & LOTS of stuff I've drawn & written over the last 6 years--even earlier than that, in fact!--& it's gonna take me quite a while to upload every picture & piece of literature.  Just be patient, folks, & my gallery will be chock-full of new stuff before you know it! ;)

In the meantime, here's a little something I finished several months ago, related to one of my original film projects, "Julienne"! :D I hope to upload character bios, pictures of the cast, song lyrics, & small snippets of the script soon. :) In the meantime, here's one of those aforementioned script snippets, in which our lead heroine passes away after a battle with severe pneumonia, but comes back to assure her friend & caretaker Captain Tom Rogers (& the viewers) that they'll see each other again, among other things.

I had written a preliminary version of this scene (along with my other uploaded things related to "Julienne") when I first came up with the idea for this movie back in 2011, which was the time when I became reacquainted & obsessed with Powers Boothe.  This project, of course, is one of many that I have created with specific roles for Powers...but, alas, now that my favorite Texan thespian has disappeared into the next dimension, I will have to find the best, closest, & most-accurate substitute this world has to offer. :( (See here for more info: Operation Prince-malion .) Incidentally, as it turns out, I decided to rewrite this scene during the time when I was grieving over, & trying to cope with, Powers' disappearance back in May, but my attention was quickly grabbed by other projects; by the time I got around to finishing this task the other day, I was feeling much better, but rewriting this scene was nonetheless very comforting & therapeutic for me, & it's really helped me to realize that Powers' absence isn't permanent, for we will get to see him again in the next dimension, where an eternal second life awaits us all. ^_^

So, what do you think of the scene? :) Do tell me your thoughts! :D

When you're finished reading, please be sure to leave feedback when you're done. I'll take anything from comments to constructive criticism, as long as they're not flames or delivered in an overly-harsh, stern, or mercilessly-nitpicky manner.
