OUTLINE OF JULIENNE'S INTRODUCTORY SCENE IN "JULIENNE"

(When Tom first meets Julienne)
JULIENNE: Can I please come in?
TOM: (stares at her, unsure what to do)
JULIENNE: Please, mister!  I have nowhere else to go!
(Beat)
TOM: Come in.
(Julienne walks into the cabin with Tom, then collapses onto the floor from exhaustion)
TOM (picking Julienne up, & bringing her over to one of the chairs by the hearth): I think you'd be a lot more comfortable right here. (sits her down) There. (sits down in the chair opposite from Julienne's)
(Julienne tries to smile at Tom, but she cannot hide the fact that she's been through a tough, terrible time)
TOM (heard in voiceover): Whoever this little girl was, she had come to the right place for shelter.  Another day of wandering through the wilderness in her condition, & she would have succumbed to the elements.  Poor kid...What awful catastrophe could have befallen her?
(Beat)
TOM (to Julienne): Who are you? Where did you come from? How did you get here?
(Julienne can't bring herself to answer any of the questions, as she's too overwhelmed by what happened to her; she starts to cry)
TOM: I guess you don't feel like talking about it now?
(Julienne shakes her head "no", & continues crying)
TOM: (offers Julienne his silk handkerchief) Here, darling.  Dry your eyes with this.
(Julienne takes the hankie, & dabs at her moist eyes & face with it; gradually, her crying ceases, & she manages to calm down a little)
TOM: There we go...
JULIENNE (handing the hankie back to Tom): Thank you, mister.
TOM (stuffing the hankie back into his robe pocket): You're welcome. (beat) Say, can I ask you a question?
JULIENNE (starting to feel a little better now): Yes.
TOM: How old are you?
JULIENNE: 12.
TOM: How long did it take you to get here?
JULIENNE: Three days.  I walked the whole way.
TOM: Do you live in the city, or do you live outside, like I do?
JULIENNE: Outside.  But a little closer to the city than your house.
TOM: I see...(notices the look on Julienne's face) Will that be enough questions?
JULIENNE: I think so.  I'm starting to feel sad again.
TOM: Ohhh...I'm sorry.  I didn't mean to bring up those bad memories for you. (Julienne looks up at Tom with a wistful expression)
JULIENNE: That's all right...but let's not talk about it now.
TOM: OK.  Only when you're ready. (Julienne gives a weak smile at Tom, & Tom smiles back at Julienne)
Full-view, please!

I know a lot of you have been waiting for me to upload new art & written works, & I have not forgotten about that. :) It's just that I have LOTS & LOTS & LOTS of stuff I've drawn & written over the last 6 years--even earlier than that, in fact!--& it's gonna take me quite a while to upload every picture & piece of literature.  Just be patient, folks, & my gallery will be chock-full of new stuff before you know it! ;)

In the meantime, here's a little something I finished several months ago, related to one of my original film projects, "Julienne"! :D I hope to upload character bios, pictures of the cast, song lyrics, & small snippets of the script soon. :) In the meantime, here's one of those aforementioned script snippets, in which we (& Captain Tom Rogers) first meet the title character! ^_^

So, what do you think of the scene? :) Do tell me your thoughts! :D

:bulletred: All characters, properties, & elements (C) The Mouse Avenger (that's me).

When you're finished reading, please be sure to leave feedback when you're done. I'll take anything from comments to constructive criticism, as long as they're not flames or delivered in an overly-harsh, stern, or mercilessly-nitpicky manner.
